since i left the dubs i have dabbled a bit with the lottery...a scratch off ticket here or there...but nothing major.
recently i have gotten to know a few people that seem to gamble quite a bit.
we went to the horse races a few weeks ago and i bet on one of the horses that a friend owns...lol fortunately not much as i lost.
Xena, I've bought lottery tickets for years....and occasionally I go to the "boats" in Lake Charles, La......but when I go to the casinos, I only take as much money as I could safely afford to flush down the toilet.....and I play the slots to make it last longer.....I go for entertainment, but just in case I get a wild hair up my butt to get "out of control" with it, I leave my credit cards, checkbook and such at home....It's fun...and I've won several times....

i have talked to peanuts...and was caught!!!
one time when i was living in san diego county, california....i was in a ralph's grocery store.....now...i have a habit of discussing prices and such while i'm shopping....out loud....there doesn't hafta be anyone else there....i just discuss 'em with myself, since i'm gonna be the one payin'.....when i got to the nuts aisle.....and it was at the end of the aisle closest to the checkout lines, naturally....i began berrating the peanuts over their outrageous prices.....there was a loudspeaker for the store in the ceiling...directly over my head.....just as i finished my oratory to the peanuts, an employee bellowed something totally incomprehensible through the store speakers.....i'm extremely easily startled.....and as luck would have it, the store manager was just passing the end of the aisle where i stood doing my spastic, throwing my jerking hands up and jumping through my skin dance, because i thought at first the peanuts had answered me......the man bent over double laughing....i woulda kicked his arse if he hadn't peed his pants right there....harrumph!
so tell me....have yall ever done anything that turned your face red?

revelation 4, 5, 11 & 19 talk of twenty four elders, before the throne of god.. the wts interpretation has them as the anointed in heaven, but that just doesn't wash, as they are seen to be observers of events that apparently involve folks still on earth.

well i have been thinking about this and was wondering if anyone was interested in contributing some holiday recipes for a special edition of food in due season - the jwd holiday cookbook.
some of us have been out for a while and have begun to establish special holiday traditions.
for some this whole idea of celebrating holidays is rather new.
